How long will my cosmetic dentistry treatment take?

The number of visits you’ll need to get a beautiful will depend on a variety of factors including the treatments involved, the current condition of your teeth and gums, and your availability. Simple tooth whitening or fillings may require just one visit. A combination of procedures, or more extensive treatments like dental implants, will require more appointments. At Dr. Cavalier’s office, we are committed to helping you get your smile enhancements within the time frame you desire. We’ll work with you to create a treatment plan that fits well into your schedule. When you come in for your appointments, you’ll see we do all we can to stay on schedule and respect your time.

How will my temporaries look?

For many of the restorations we perform, the natural tooth requires enamel reduction, and a mold is taken of the tooth. Following this step, patients will be placed with a temporary restoration that simply completes your smile while your new restoration is being crafted in our lab. The temporary is designed to match your tooth shade and will appear very natural. Despite the fact that they feel natural, it is important to take that last step and come in for your permanent placement. Temporaries are not strong enough to withstand biting forces over a long period of time.

Do you have any advice for patients who experience fear or anxiety during dental visits?

You don’t have to let fear keep you from getting the dental care you need.
